Morris Nunes Vaz migrated from the United Kingdom to the United States.
Morris Nunes was born on 17 May 1897 outside of the United States.[1] in London, England.[2]
He married Jennie Epstein, the daughter of Meyer Epstein and Anna C. Silicon, on September 17, 1922, in Winthrop, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.[3]
In February 1925, a certificate for organization was filed under the name of United Theaters, Inc. [4] The Board of Directors was composed of: :Morris Nunes - President, Samuel Shapiro - Secretary & Treasurer, and Joseph Liebman - Board member.
April 1926, Morris filed incorporation papers to form The Associated Theaters, Inc.
[5] with authorized capital of $50,000. Incorporators were Barnett Cohen, Morris Nunes, and Harold E. Alprovis of New Haven.
The National Premium Company, Inc of New Haven[6] filed papers for incorporation in December 1930 with $50,000 authorized capital to consist of 500 shares of common stock of $100 par value. The incorporators were Morris Nunes, David Sugraman, and Samuel Bailey.
The Silvercraft Company[7]dissolved in July 1941, about a year after being formed, and sold all the machinery and equipment at auction. The incorporators were Robert Herschel Taber, Morris A. Nunes, Maurice H Bailey, and Meyer Bailey, the latter 3 being from New Haven.
Yorkhaven Enterprises was incorporated in August 1941 [8] and completed the purchase of the Schubert Theater. Officials of the Yorkhaven corporation were Morris Nunes and Maurice Bailey.
He died on 21 Jan 1948 in Los Angeles, California, United States.[1] The record indicates that his mother's maiden name was Moscow. [9]He was buried in the Roxbury Mutual Cemetery in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.[10]
